First E3 report for Tweakers.net. Start of the E3 this year by Cirque du Soleil, highlights of the press conference by Microsoft with a preview of Gears of War 3, a big emphasis on the Kinect which is the new name of Project Natal, a demonstration of 6 new games for the Kinect and a final surprise of the show: new Xbox 360.
Second E3 report with announcements by Sony. Presentation of 3D world for the games Crysis 2, Mortal Combat, Gran Turismo 5, Sly Cooper and Killzone 3 (available February next year). Presentation of PlayStation Move, Sony's answer to the Nintendo We. Move will be supported by new games such as Sorcery, Tiger Woods Golf and Heroes on the Move. PlayStation Move launches September 15 in Europe. PSP news of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker available this week, shortly followed by Kingdom Hearts, Toy Story 3, Ace Combat Joint Assault and God of War. PlayStation Network will be enhanced with PlayStation Plus, a payed service with exclusive demos and videos. New adventures and gameplay in Little BIG Planet 2, Medal of Honor, Deadspace 2, Portal 2 and a new release of Twisted Metal, a mad action game.
Tuesday morning of the E3 week with Nintendo starting off with a press conference in the Nokia theatre. Nintendo dives straight in with the announcement of new game titles: Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, NBA Jam, Mario Sports Mix (coming in 2011), WiiParty, GoldenEye 007, Epic Mickey and Donkey Kong Returns. Big introduction for the new Nintendo 3DS which supports movie playback in 3D, taking pictures in 3D and 3D gaming: DJ Hero, Saints Row, Residents Evil and Kid Icarus Uprising.
Fourth E3 video with coverage of the exposition with games, games, more games, boot babes and even more games. Highlights of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit developed by Criterion Games that will be published on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Microsoft announces during their press conference Call of Duty Black Ops, a new release by Treyarch Studio featuring worldwide missions during the Cold War.
